Today marks the five-year anniversary of City of Heroes. To celebrate the anniversary and the recently released Issue 14: Architect, we're kicking off a free Reactivation Weekend!

Between today and Sunday, May 3rd at 8:59 PM Pacific (11:59 PM Eastern), all inactive accounts in good standing have access to City of Heroes and City of Villains. Just login to start playing!

If you or your friends haven't played in a while, City of Heroes: Architect Edition is available in stores and online via Steam now! You can get the complete game in one easy-to-install pacakage from your favorite retailer.

Visit our website to catch up on all the latest news about the game, including Issue 14: Architect, our ground-breaking update that introduces user-generated content to City of Heroes. With this new system, City of Heroes ushers in a new era for the MMORPG genre and offers even more customization, allowing you to design your own unique story arcs and missions to share with the entire City of Heroes community!

CELEBRATING FIVE YEARS OF HEROES

City of Heroes completes its fifth year today! Though we've had a number of exciting announcements during the past few weeks, including the release of the critically-acclaimed City of Heroes: Architect Edition and the unveiling of Paragon Studios, none of these events would have been possible without our wonderful fans, the people who support our beloved City of Heroes. It is with great pride and appreciation for the fans that we celebrate our five-year anniversary today!

To commemorate City of Heroes' reign as the first and longest-running comic-inspired MMORPG, we are hosting a number of festive in-game and community events over the next few weeks:

- Experience live events throughout the day, with plenty of opportunities to collect merits, badges and xp.

- Find familiar faces! Interact with some of our signature heroes on our Training Room server.

- Get you in-game Five-Year Badge (available to those who login from April 29, 2009 through May 31, 2009).

- Party down at the Pocket D Five-Year Anniversary Party. Head over to Pocket D, between Paragon City and the Rogue Isles, to join in the festivities!

- Enjoy the Reactivation Weekend.

- Enter community contests*.

ISSUE 15: ANNIVERSARY REVEALED

Our next free content update, appropriately named Issue 15: Anniversary, features a host of new content and updates. Here's a quick overview:
