Dear Sarnautians,
This week’s Press Tour is over and I have been back at the office
for a couple of days now. The reception of Allods Online is really
phenomenal anywhere I go and players as well as journalists are
impressed, falling in love at first sight with the Allods Online
universe, just as I did some time ago.
During my days abroad I could not avoid hearing all your concerns.
The passion and emotion that you have shown lately is amazing. The
community is here, you are here and you love the game as much as we do.
However, there seems to be a few misunderstandings or miscommunications, so here is some information for you:
At the moment there are over 150 people working on the game in
Russia. This includes the current team, studios in Voronezh and the
Quality Assurance team. The same team that was previously working on
Allods Online is still working on it, there are no new developers
coming from Mail.ru or any other companies. This also means that all
Astrum Nival developer’s team is still on the project and that no one
has left. They are still very involved in Allods Online. Astrum Nival
is even actively seeking to add new staff members for the project.
Some of you have wondered what the impact would be with the news
about Mail.ru and Allods Online, the response I got from Moscow was
clear and simple: ‘maybe some logo changes from Astrum Nival to
Mail.ru’ and that’s it.
All in all, as you can see, there have been no changes in Allods
Online project management, au contraire they are increasing the size of
the development team. This said, if you are a developer it might be
worth a try to join this adventure.
I guess that you are also waiting for information on the Allods Shop
for the European market. It will go live next week, and while I am not
at liberty to disclose details, we are attempting to address the issues
raised by the community. I hope that the outcome will be pleasant for
everyone.
A special word to the Closed Beta Test community, in the upcoming
days we will be providing an in game reward for any active account
during the CBT. We do plan on giving this ring to accounts, whatever
the shard they play on. So it might be worth creating characters on new
shards as they go live. Keep in mind that this ring is to be mailed in
game to the first character created on each server.
Keep using Gibberlings as slippers and keep reading Play Elf on the Guild Portal.
Yours,
Vince
